Clay County Long-term Recovery Fund

Specific Need

The Long Term Recovery Fund will support non-profit organizations and public entities that have a defined role in short-term and long-term recovery efforts by providing critical services including things such as emergency food distribution, shelter and long-term housing, emotional and spiritual care, economic and rental assistance, education, healthcare, and more to survivors of any local disaster. These non-profits and public entities will provide direct support to survivors and will need the capacity to grow their services to meet these needs.

This fund has already raised over $9,000!  During the covid-19 pandemic, we gave $7,000 to the Lighthouse to support individual families and $2,000 to USD379 to purchase bottle filling stations for school drinking fountains.

Profile

The Long Term Recovery Fund at the Clay Center Community Improvement Foundation has been established to receive donations to benefit those in the Clay County area who would be in need as a result of a local disaster.

The fund was started in response to the covid-19 pandemic, but has remained open to help our community be prepared in the case of a different wide spread disaster such as a tornado or flood.
