Clay Center Presbyterian Manor

Goal: $5,000.00

Specific Need

A place to gather and grow.

While on the surface, Clay Center Presbyterian Manor is a provider of high-quality, long-term care, at its heart, it’s an organization dedicated to the creation of powerful and enduring relationships. For 50 years, we have been serving Clay County with the kind of stability that gives both residents and their loved ones lasting peace of mind.  Being able to serve the community as an independent living, assisted living, or full healthcare community while always making sure we can provide the best care for each individual person is something we pride ourselves on!

The Oberg Garden is a vital part of life enrichment on our campus.  For years the garden has served as a place of tranquility and beauty for residents and their families.  The garden is a special place for residents to garden and spend time outdoors in a tender season of life.  The birds and butterflies are a source of joy.   Over the years the shrubs and trees and flower beds have overgrown the space.  We have recently added a gazebo and need to purchase additional seating, for residents, family, and friends to enjoy.

Funds raised through the Clay Center Gather for Good Match Day will help us afford the improvements needed.

Mission

To provide quality senior services guided by Christian values.

Profile

Throughout our history, our ability to continue to meet the growing needs of the seniors and families we we serve has depended largely upon the ongoing assistance of our communities, assistance that carries on a legacy of compassion and a commitment to care.

Our promise.

As a faith-based, mission-driven organization that values the spiritual needs of every man or woman who moves to one of our communities, PMMA is committed to providing an environment where both one’s life—and faith—can be nurtured. In addition, we believe that, as a non-profit provider of aging services, we are inherently obligated to provide a level of quality that stems from a mission of service and a history of compassion.

To ensure an atmosphere where all of this is possible, we promise the following:

• To respect and understand that seniors, as citizens and individuals, retain their rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness

• To extend our role in assisting residents with specific needs and desires
• To deliver compassionate services and attention—at all senior living levels

• To serve as a knowledgeable and trusted resource for seniors

• To be an active advocate for seniors and their health and wellness

Who we are.

Sometimes the best way to paint an accurate picture of who you are is to simply describe who you are not. At Presbyterian Manors, we’re not a large, for-profit corporation. Our primary focus isn’t on creating revenue, it’s about creating the very best options for those we serve. And while for-profit facilities are held accountable by a group of owners or shareholders, PMMA is overseen by a board of trustees whose members volunteer their time to ensure that we always remain true to our mission, respond to local needs, plan effectively and manage our financial resources responsibly.

In partnership with the Presbyterian Church, PMMA was born out of a long-standing tradition of service to others and we're proud to say that those same values are reflected in our governance and management today.
