The goal of the Community Church Camp Committee is to fully fund 100 or more Kindergarten-12th grade USD 379 students to a church camp of their choice each summer. In order to do this, we need to raise approximately $30,000 each year.

Since 2014, the Community Church Camp Committee tries to send as many USD 379 students as possible to church camps each summer.
Over the past 9 summers we have raised over $170,000 and have been able to share the church camp experience with approximately 610 youth from our county by paying for them to attend a church camp of their choice. During the past nine years our committee has been able to fully fund EVERY student that has applied. 100% of donations are spent on paying for camp registrations. Volunteers transport the campers to and from the different camps.
In the past we have provided scholarships to many different camps: United Methodist Horizon Camps, Jr. Rodeo Bible Camp, Central Christian College Kids Camp, Kansas Bible Camp, Maranatha Bible Camp, Never the Same Camp, Wheat State Camp, King Solomon Christian Camp, Covenant Cedars Camp, Camp Good News, and Student Life Camp in Eastes Park, .
We never know what our needs will be until the youth are able to apply for camps in March but we have faith that our community will continue to support our efforts to “Connect Kids to Christ”.
Current members include: Holly Chestnut, Mark and Patti Woodruff, Patricia Bloomdahl, Frieda Knitter, Gail Edmiston, and Alan Johnson.
