Mission

Our mission is to gain interest and involvement in our community and gain new residences. We want to encourage and welcome new faces whether it be for a day, a week, or a lifetime. We take strives to accentuate all the great positive things about our wonderful community.

Profile

The Wakefield Pride is a volunteer organization working together to achieve a goal of community involvement and improvement. Anyone, whether inside the City of Wakefield or outside the City boundaries, who considers themselves a member of the Wakefield community or any individuals who are interested in supporting the community, are encouraged to participate. We will work with the public, the City council, the schools, our youth, and any local civic or governmental organizations already in existence, and future ones that may be formed. We will keep in mind the wishes of the general public at all times while recognizing the need to work together as a team. We will strive to choose projects that reflect the will of the community, will endeavor to seek resources to complete our chosen projects through support of local leadership, development of local resources, and encouragement of economic development to create a better environment for the citizens of the community. We recognize the historical significance of Wakefield and hope to enhance our history for future generations of our community.
