Clay Counts Coalition

Goal: $6,000.00

Specific Need

What We Need:

The Clay Counts Coaltion is  in need of $6,000 to serve as start up money to bring $625,000 into Clay County to be used to prevent and reduce substance abuse in our community.

Why We Need This:

The Clay Counts Coaltion is a grant based organization. Our grant will end in July of 2023. Thus, the work we do in our community will come to end if we do not have additional funding. However, because of the effectiveness of our efforts we have been encouraged by KDADS and the Community Anti Drug Coaltions of America to apply for a $625,000 CDC grant that will allow us to not only contiunue our efforts, but greatly expand them by targeting citizens from birth to death and focusing on the reduction of vaping, amd marijuana use by our youth as well as the misuse of prescription and street drugs by the adults in our community. Further, we will utilize our new grant to increase mental health services in Clay County and offer activites to address the alarming increase in isolation, depression indicators and sucidal ideolgy among our youth.

Mission

The Clay Counts Coalition exists to promote social, physical, and mental well-being for the residents of Clay County, emphasizing reduction of youth substance abuse and to foster a thriving environment in which to live, learn, work, and play.
