Profile
The Wakefield Public Library opened in 1938 as a Works Project Administration (WPA) project. In 2024, an addition funded by a donation from Sarah Francis Fyfe, doubled the size of the library expanding programs for the community. The library offers new books, North Central Kansas Library Services, the rotating book van which provides any title in the Kansas Library Consortium. The library offers multiple programs, for example, summer reading, K-State Extension, story time, and family programming. The library provides free Wi-Fi, copying, and printing services. It also offers proctoring for any student taking online classes.
