Goal: $3,000.00
Specific Need
What We Need:
Clay Counts became a member of the foundation about four years ago and has been blessed to receive funding each year. As a result of our membership, we are considered a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit agency. We use this money to provide food for all our training and events, since our grant has stipulations that we may not use funds to pay for food supplies. As you know, people are much more likely to attend if you feed them!
Mission
The Clay Counts Coalition exists to promote social, physical, and mental well-being for the residents of Clay County, emphasizing reduction of youth substance abuse and to foster a thriving environment in which to live, learn, work, and play.

Just what does that look like in our community? We have accomplished so much over the past year:
- We funded the USD 379 TeamMates program, which has grown to 87 student-mentor matches and earned the prestigious Tri-State Regional Chapter of the Year award.
- We supported CCCHS, CCCMS, and Wakefield Youth Leaders in Kansas organizations, including sending CCCHS YLinK members to the CADCA Mid-Year Training Institute in Orlando.
- We purchased proven prevention programs like Signs of Suicide and Botvin Life Skills into USD 379 schools.
- We offered parent education classes, sponsored drug take-back events, hosted the YLinK state convention and farmer-to-farmer suicide training, and we brought in numerous Courageous Conversations speakers.
Our most encouraging accomplishment? Local data shows a steady decline in youth alcohol, cigarette and marijuana use.
Last year, Gather for Good raised $3,000 for Clay Counts. On Thursday, September 17, you can help us continue this momentum during Clay Center’s Gather for Good Match Day.
We use this money to provide food for all our training and events, since our grants have stipulations that we may not use funds to pay for food supplies. Thank you for your support. We look forward to accomplishing even more in 2027!
